I need to build a stereo TB box and I have no clue how to do it. I've done mono boxes before, but never stereo. I understand I can use a 3PDT switch if I omit the LED. Does anyone have a diagram showing how to wire on of these up?

Thanks.

iv just tried to work out a layout, and i dont think its possible with a 3pdt.  you need a dpdt for each channel, and that would mean you needed a 4pdt stomp switch, which as far as i know, dont exist...

the only way i can think of doing this is through digital logic switching, using chips.  it would be quite easy if you just work out what you need - you could even have an LED aswell.

4PDT switches do exist, but apparently they're rare and expensive.. I haven't seen any for sale lately. Thanks for the help. I wasn't entirely sure it was possible with a 3DPT.

Electronic switching is not entirely TB, but is a viable option.  Check out the 4066 and 4016 datasheets, they are very easy to use.  You could also use relays, easily, which would keep it true-bypass. With relays you'd only need an SPDT or so.  With either of these you coud have stereo TB with an LED.  A 4pdt is here:

I'd much rather go the 4PDT route. Thanks for the links. I'm looking at the mouser one and, while it's a pushbutton, it's not like a stomp switch. The one at that second link should do it. They're international, though. It looks like it'd cost a lot to ship to the US..

Do you have any clue how I would wire it up?

The two switches I posted are identical - both are pushbuttons, neither are really meant for footswitching.  Mouser just sells them for cheaper.  Just wire it up like 2 DPDTs, one next to the other.

Oh I see. I opened the PDF catalog on the mouser page and looked at the wrong switch. That one you linked to would work.

Thanks again.
