ok so i took a sec and bent the shit out of a fabacho. i then took some bad photos and indicated the resistors you should remove. two get solder bridges and the older gets a pot. i like 500k course with a 20k fine. the bridges allow this thing to actually function as it should. one is limiting the feedback path so removing it will give much stronger feedback all the way up self oscillation, nice. the other is limiting the wet delay amount. once bridged you can actually hear the delay, if you don't remove this then the delay mix will stay weak as fuck. i HATE when companies do this shit!!! like they're afraid of what you might do with it if you can use the full potential. there are a few more bends you can do as well. some other oscillations, some distortions, some glitchy crashing, all cool shit but your going to have to figure those out yourself, i don't want to take all your fun.

Is this a PT239_ based pedal?  If so, you could definitely keep going with your mods... until sandwich echo is reached :)  Do you have any sounds?

hey colin, yeah its a 2399, but while modding mine i went kind of crazy adding tons of stuff and getting some good glitches out of it, but now i have a screaming feedback loop that won't shut off. i replaced the IC and removed all my mods and i think i either damaged something or have a solder bridge i can't find. either way its out of commission until i figure that out. maybe Timoty777 can post some samples

Thanks for the picture.

I have never seen that one for sale here in Denmark, maybe i haven't looked hard enough :-)

I did build the Reboote 2 delay from http://www.tonepad.com, and i did the mods to have very long dirty delays, and infinite repeats. It goes very well alnog with circuit bend  toys, especially small keyboards.

i'm sure your better off with the rebote. the fab echo is very limited in comparison. its just that its really cheap here so a lot of people grab them

Are these things safe to poke around if you don't know exactly what you are doing. I killed a danelectro tremolo and ever sense I've been shy of touching pedals, especially when they aren't mine  :dead: .
