I have a cosmetic issue approaching...

I will build a pedal on which I would like to have nice elegant gold hardware. I know where to get knobs, and I know where to get some gold stereo jacks. But I'll also need a gold plated 3PDT stomp switch and 4PDT mini toggle switch, or else the pedal will surely clash with gold and steel hardware on it. Ugly. I'd also like to find gold mono jacks. I could use the stereo ones, but it would just be money wasted since I power all my pedals with adapters.

You will never find a gold plated 3pdt stomp, a gold 4pdt toggle most likely not... 1/4" jacks though, t hey make those for guitars.  You would have to do the gold plating on your own.

Probably, I have never gold plated anything... just used gold spray paint.

I don't think it would "chip" off at all, I'm guessing that if I got a quality plating job the gold would wear away over time, and it would probably only happen on the top part of the footswitch.
