if i have the time tomorrow i'll make a pic. it's just a simple piece of wood with rubber on top and a small metal tab to make sure the amp doesn't slide off...

yep. it's just 2 bolts. the one in the back stays put, the one in the front goes can go into 5 different holes for variable settings. but most of the time i use it at 45° or 30°.

Yeah, our view is amazing! Can see most of our little city. Was going to post another picture of the view too, but it takes 3 or 4 to do it justice.

These shots are from different periods, but little has changed and I think I ducked duplicity. The area defined as my bench is a totally swamped nightmare, I'm guessing it's apparent I'm far from a neat freak..

Work surfaces on one side

sound gear on the other.

It's becoming more organized as time creeps on..

just to be clear my statement was not meant to come off as negative. on the contrary, i've been looking around for bags and my wallet all day. i don’t even know what the bulk of the older rack gear is. i think some of the lighter face stuff with the copper and aluminum knobs are like laboratory compressors right? what are the grey ones with the black bakelite knobs and meters?

the only other person i’ve seen with those comps is pulse emitter i think, always wanted to see what they can do. big compressor fan

No worries! Most of this stuff came from eBay or thrift stores..  I've been collecting it for over ten years.

The silver/bronze face stuff in the left rack are tube powered nerve/muscle stimulators, essentially just adjustable width pulse generators. The bulky grey stuff in the right hand rack is old tubed HP equipment, the top dark grey being a distortion analyzer (essentially a narrow bandpass filter and some supporting electronics I haven't wrapped my head around yet) sitting on an audio range sine generator atop a function generator that will do sine, triangle and square down to around 0.002 hz.

In short, we're pretty much looking at the oscillator stack of my tube frankensynth. I picked up around half the Tektronix modules in the blue eared racks from Pulse Emitter, also tubed pulse generators.

Only old tube compressor I currently own is out on loan to a friend's compound, though I have it in my head to attempt to roll a poor man's Fairchild 670. I'll be sure to document my findings and the process here.

cool, it just seems that my posts are often misinterpreted as hostile lately

not sure where i got the idea that they were compressors? it doesn't matter, i still want one.

"a poor man's Fairchild 670" depending on what you mean by this, i'd love to see where it goes
