hi all

I have this echoplex some guy gave me a million years ago.  When I was at my friend stony's house I ssaw he had the same unit and had replaced the cartridge of lots of tape with a simple short tape loop.  This appeals much more to me for sound on sound action and grain deterioration so I tried it, but now I have seem to lost the precious ability to feedback into oblivion.  I made a few loops to make sure I was doing it right (using the tape from the cartridge) but cant figure it out.  I can get the same effect if i use a feedback loop from an effects send.  any tips?
