I'm working on several projects, including an SN Voice and vintage computer projects, and would like to combine the results in a single rack-mount enclosure to save space.

The prices for Eurocard enclosures are outrageous, but I need something I can put synthesizer modules in as well as the N8VEM backplane.  The N8VEM uses
the Eurocard connector, and can be mounted in a 3U enclosure.

I see PAIA's "FrackRack" case, which holds their 3U modules, but I've read that it's different mechanically from the EuroRack format.

So there will be two kinds of front panels, an audio one with a mixture of audio jack panels, knobs, switches, and, blinking LEDs, switches, and a small serial LCD for the computer side.

Something with mounting holes every 1.75 inches would be acceptable, depicted below:

Code:

    List of first 3 projects
  • SN Voice synthesizer
  • MIDIBox with SID add-on
  • N8VEM Z80 system

The N8VEM system uses 3U eurocard connectors/ form factor (shown here mounted in 3U case)

I've considered buying a Behringer RX1202FX (used for $50) just for the case, tossing the electronics and keeping knobs and connectors.  But the photos suggest limited possibilities for easy disassembly and re-use.

Suggestions welcome.
