Goddammit. It happened again. I think about a year has passed since I broke one of the switches on the Digitech RP200. Yesterday, I was just playing and one of the switches didn't work. I'm pretty sure its the switch that wasn't replaced but I don't remember which one was. Anyways, I opened it up to look around. (this was the first time i did, when i broke the switch the first time, i just took it to a tech, but that waspretty expensive). Its basically just the whole back of the circuit board, with no access to the switches. The only way to get to them is to remove the circuit board. The RP has an LCD screen, so I dont wanna screw anything up. Colin, Can I go about this without screwing anything up? Plus, what kind of switch would I need and would it be easy to replace myself? I know that Digitech has a parts store online, but its down at the moment. Thanks for your time.

I've taken apart my bp200, which is just the bass version of the rp200 (the enclosure and insides are exactly the same, physically). It's not difficult, and you won't mess anything up if you treat it gently. I was surprised to find that the "hinge" mechanisms for the pedals are just binder clips. I guess fabricating a new part would be more costly. Anyway, I've got the same problem, the up/down pedals occasionally don't work. I've heard people say that you can solve the problem by putting some tape on the nub of the pedal that makes contact with the board.

haha I noticed the binder clip thing too, I looked real hard hehe. So it should be all good to take off the circuit board? Sounds good. And I'll probably try that tape thing. What kind of tape and where exactly do you put it?
