I was following Nicolas Collins Handmade Electronic Music to make a piezo driver but it doesn't seem to produce much sound. How do I make a more powerful driver? (I'd like to attach it to any surface)

While the amplitude output of different piezo transducers may vary some, virtually all of them will need some pre-amplification to be brought to guitar or line levels.

a speaker/driver. with the radio shack audio output transformer. I'm going to test it again with a more powerful preamp, but still heed Collins advice to only use battery-powered equipment.

you're gonna need an amplifier circuit, maybe like this...

and maybe a piezo that can handle more wattage?

thanks for the tip, but I bought a Origaudio Rock-it driver instead. Cheap, simple and more powerful than my piezo driver.
