Take a look at http://www.eaced.com
, just about everything there is using futurlec pots. They are rugged, reliable, and fairly small. The knurled shaft size fits most no-set-screw knobs you throw at it, and if it won't fit, you can either squeeze the two sides together so that it is smaller or use a screwdriver to separate them a little. THey will also fit any set screw knob (well, not 1/8" ones of course). I highly recommend them. Ther eis quantity discounts for 25 or more (goes down to .45 I believe). They are kind of PCB mount, take a look at the picture-definitely can mount on a PCB, but they are not right angle, so they can't mount on the same PCB as say, your 3pdt switch.
