hiya folks
I just found out today that theres an EA board, so i joined yo
I'm a regular on ilovefuzz.com which used to be the old devi ever board.
i do actually love fuzz, idk how many fuzz pedals i own right now, the coolest of which would either be the parallel universe 2 or a custom AB-Synth
i love jazz and industrial, I can't stand frusciante wannabes or the pricks who'll argue over whether or not PGS demos are accurate (obviously not, lol)
i love me some diy and bending, though oddly i often get people to do my diy and bending for me....O.o
um dunno what else to say yo

I used to play in bands in Philadelphia, I'm in southern new jersey now.  I do mostly bending, very basic wiring otherwise.  I got started by building wooden things with strings and pickups.  Check out Bart Hopkin's books, and there was a quarterly(?) called Experimental Musical Instruments.  Great info here!  Thanks.

Hey dudes,

My name is Martin. I play in noise/free improv and folky bands in Rochester, NY. I'm a student in Buffalo currently. I used to take radios apart as a kid just for the fun of it. Now I circuitbend and attempt to build stuff.

Here's a clip of what's on my breadboard (74c14n synth): http://soundcloud.com/martin-freem/drone-synth-1

I'm looking forward to pestering you all with questions. I have no electronics background whatsoever and can't read a schematic to save my life. I want to learn how to circuitbend cd players. I want to throw out my horrible 15 watt soldering iron. later.

Way cool site.
I've been a victim of.... (uh, sorry), technitian in the two- way industry for a while and I want to get back in to the effects hobby. I still think they hide how bad I play.

Ive Posted a bunch already, but never thought to look for an Intro thread, so yeah here I am.  My name is Brett, I'm 29, work for Caterpillar doing engine repair.  I have been playing guitar and banjo and whatnot for a while and Got into DIY stuff a while back.  I'm not super successful with DIY, but I keep trying.  I have a ton of guitars (from when I worked at guitar center and bought anything cool used)   I've modded a few of my pedals and built a fuzz from scratch.  So I'm building a Tube amp, which I posted in the general DIY section...  I hope it works Wink   but anyway thats it.  I love music, love playing, love building things.. this was a great forum find for me.  I look forward to reading on Smiley

Hello,

My name is Leeann, but I also go by Hierchiss (Hi-Ar-Kis). I live in mississippi, work as a waitress, and enjoy anything off the "norm."

Hierchiss started out as a project name, but now I also use it associated with the electronics I make. Right now I mainly make contact mics for sale. I also bend TVS, and I'm always experimenting with new gadgets, parts, bending, (sometimes destroying :/) etc...

I see a few members here that look familiar from Troniks and NoiseGuide, but I found this board by searching for DIY kits. I'm always looking for new projects and ideas to enhance my goodies. Hopefully I'll eventually get good enough with electronics that I can make a sufficient living off of them. I hate being a waitress! haha. I'm also going to school for Electronics and Instrumentation so that should help as well.

you can check out the sounds I make via myspace: www.myspace.com/hierchiss
and my official website is: www.hierchiss.weebly.com

I have a forum on my website as well, so feel free to post things you have for sale, about yourself, your art, etc... Its just another place for you to express your opinion.

Thanks!

Hi.  I became interested in circuit bending sometime last year, around then.  I lost interest in it without really getting anything done.  My interest was recently sparked, and I began to learn more about electronics.  All my attempts at circuit bending or other electronic noise type tinkering have failed, but I have learned.

This looks like a cool place, glad to be here.

Hello everyone!
I've been checking this site for quite some time now. I really enjoy it and the laid back atmosphere and cool vibe. In time I will add my bend, modifications, and homemade stuff I've built over the years. I got some really cool stuff that I've yet to see on the web.
If anyone is into delay pedals I have one for the reissue EHX Memory Man Deluxe. Ahh, whatever. I've got things to add and help to offer as well as questions for all.

It is good to be here!!!!!

Take care to all and be safe and healthy,
 Paul

Hello!

I'm an acoustics and EE student in Massachusetts, I've been into building music-aimed electronics for a bit. I have a weird fascination for stuff like tubes and analog synths. I play bass & guitars/electronics in as much bands as possible, and review music for kicks (and probably only 4 people). If you've got a minute, you can hear/read that at elephantspacesnowstorm.blogspot.com.

I've been building mostly from other people's design in the past, but looking into modding random stuff and building my own version of things has led me to explore this message board. Expect a couple posts in the effects section soon, and feel free to ask anything if you feel like I can help (probably not as much as other people on this board, but go ahead anyways).

Cheers!
Jeremy

I'm 26 years old. Studying Physics, Play Guitar for about 7 years and am interested in electronics for longer than that. I started building guitars and modding pedals ever since i've started but still have a lot to learn.

That's about it actually. rest is top-secret  Wink

Hey guys / gals,

I've been a lurker here for some time now.  Finally decided to sign up and start posting.

I'm a bass player / Talk Bass forum regular.  Currently studying electrical / electronic engineering whilst also working in the industry.

Build a few effects here and there as a hobby as well.
