Hi my name is Gisli and I'm a session guitarist in Iceland, most of the bandmemebers of the bands I play with are stunned when I take some really weird effects or some box with lots of leds and switches that makes funny and cool sounds.

I really like anything that I can make sound good or terrible with guitar.

I've already built few pedals (newest is Maestro FSH-1).  :juggle:

Hello! My name is warren, I play in a rock band called MVP and some noise bands as well, SPELLCASTER and YAMAHAMA. I'm very new to modifying and experimenting with any form of metod or education, but I do love to tinker and make things get wierd. Now that I am getting more into pedal modification it seems I should seek help. Looking forward to the adventure!

Hi!

Hi!

I am new here, obviously...

I used to do quite a bit of bending, then stopped, then started DIY effects building, and now I have purchased another S&S to attack...

I just thought I'd better introduce myself before I start taking over the forum with vast amounts of silly questions, ideas, brainstorms, etc... I apologise in advance for this, I am a questioner by nature...

Anyway,

I'm here.

And my name is Matt.

Hi.  I'm Ashley.  I've lurked here for ages, finally found a question to ask.

I run Hand Panther Home Recordings, a small time no-money havin' musical object clearinghouse for interesting vibratory experiences.  I've been recording weird crap onto jerry-rigged recording equipment with beat up/garbage/home made/cheap ass instruments using haphazard methods since around 1996.  Played in tons of bands, record under various guises, recently quit smoking.  Got a degree in engineering but can't use it cuz I slept through all the classes and only remember how to shock people with batteries and hot dogs.

Interested in building sound makers and circuit bending.
ya'll got skills and i'm here to learn.

I AM Scott...
I LOVE to play with electricity!!!!!!!!!!
First circuit built was Tim E.'s "Utility Boost".  Worked perfect.  Hooked ever since.  GOALs:  a simple looper for rhythmic sounds, a Distortion/Delay/effects loop in one box, a weird pitch shifter thing built out of a voice changer toy I've had for years and anything else I can build to DESTROY my tone and create good mewzik.  TRANCE METAL or something...Thirtysomething/married, into TOOL, conspiracy theories, spiritual growth and learning all this and more!!!!

Hi, my name is Finnur and I'm from Iceland.

I study electrical and computer engineering at the University of Iceland, and I just finished my first year there. I've been a guitar player for several years now and I'm a huge gear junkie. Guitar pedals are largely the reason why I'm studying electrical engineering, they are so awesome!

I'm in a band called bob, you can check us out at http://http://www.myspace.com/bobisnow. We've just released our debut album.

I came here in order to get some information, and hopefully to give something back in return. This summer I plan on building a few simple guitar pedals and other audio gadgets.

thanks for having this awesome site!

peace

my name is giles, i'm 15 and live in new zealand. i'm really into keyboards and keyboard music. i currently don't have the $$$ for a good synthesizer so i am getting into circuit bending. i would also like to learn about electronics (steve wozniak is a hero of mine).

my music isn't particularly genre specific but is quite quirky and based around the idea of having fun while makng and listening to music. i am always on the look out for new ways to create music and new ideas for instruments.

my hardware:
Roland PC-160 MIDI controller (possible keytar project)
Casio PT-50
Casio SA-35 (bending and converting into a keytar)
Macintosh Classic (still looking for some software that would allow me to use  the keyboard like a keytar)
iMac G5

my software:
Logic Express
Cubase
loads of AU and ST instruments and effects
various music greating gameboy roms
various chiptune trackers
various vst hosts and sequencers

my other hobbies include drawing robots, photography and websites, my sites are currently:
alttunes.co.nz (unfinished, basically only a forum at the moment)
photographertips.net
play-flash-games.net (complete overhaul and new features coming soon)

Howdy everybody!

My name is theglynnisjuans and i have an addiction to the smell of solder
and the bending and crossing of circuits to create neu vistas in sound.

I hope to learn quite a bit from you cats. Hopefully add something to the mix.
