Theremini report

Hi,

I've made this theremini :

It's quite good stuff. But i still encounter some "problems". I don't know if it is really problems or if it's normal with this design.

The reactivity of the antenna is quite odd. I had to play near of it to make variations. The magnetic field is short (5 cm)

Is it due to the design or did I do something wrong ?
How could i improve it ?

When I've had questions about theremins, I've posted them on the forum over at http://www.thereminworld.com.  Maybe you'll have luck over there.

I definitely like the look of that theremin, and it doesn't seem too complicated. I'll have to try buliding it sometime.
