N. (Type N Connector)

The N connector is an unbalanced, shielded threaded connector. It will pass higher frequency signals than the rest of these, and is pretty much confined to the world of microwave radio frequency.

Benefits:
Robust.
Will handle very high frequencies (over 10 Ghz) if that's your thing.

Drawbacks:
Uncommon.
Not inexpensive.
No native jack switching to allow normalization.

Ignoring the phone plug provided for scale, from left to right: N male panel/female plug, N female panel/male plug, UHF, BNC. As shown, the usual panel mounting for the N connector will accept the UHF connector as a drop in replacement. Given the ease with which UHF supports banana, this is an automatic change over for me.
